**Job Summary**
We are seeking an Experienced Patient Customer Service Representative to join our team in a remote work arrangement. As a key member of our Patient Customer Service department, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service to patients, healthcare providers, and insurance carriers. Your primary focus will be on resolving patient billing inquiries, initiating payment plans, and ensuring timely communication with all stakeholders.
**Responsibilities**
* Answer 80+ inbound calls per day from patients, healthcare providers, and insurance carriers, providing empathetic and professional support.
* Initiate payment plans for patients with outstanding balances, ensuring timely resolution of financial obligations.
* Utilize multiple resources to resolve patient inquiries while on the phone, demonstrating a proactive and solution-focused approach.
* Maintain performance goals, meeting or exceeding targets for call volume, resolution rates, and customer satisfaction.
* Develop a strong understanding of arenaflex's policies, procedures, and systems, ensuring seamless navigation of complex customer service scenarios.
* Collaborate with internal teams, including revenue cycle management, to resolve patient billing issues and ensure accurate and timely payment processing.
**Requirements**
* High School Diploma or equivalent required; previous medical and/or call center experience a plus.
* Ability to work and learn in a fast-paced environment, with a strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
* Proficiency navigating multiple computer screens and applications, with alpha-numeric data entry skills.
* Excellent verbal and listening skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with patients, healthcare providers, and insurance carriers.
* Ability to work independently, with a strong sense of self-motivation and accountability.
**Preferred Qualifications**
* Previous experience in a customer service or call center environment, with a focus on patient billing or revenue cycle management.
* Knowledge of medical terminology and laboratory testing procedures.
* Familiarity with electronic health records (EHRs) and practice management systems (PMS).
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and resolve complex customer service scenarios.
**Technical Requirements**
* Internet download speed of at least 50 megabytes per second.
* No satellite internet; ability to connect equipment to router/modem with Ethernet cord.
* Ability to work in a remote environment, with a dedicated workspace and reliable internet connection.
