The Electrical and Instrumentation Designer role involves providing design support for E&I disciplines under supervision, contributing to construction drawings, and learning industry standards and best practices.
Responsibilities
- Work under the supervision of Engineers and Lead Designers to produce EI&C construction deliverables
- Understand schedules and progress tracking
- Multitasking, working on more than one project at the same time
- Self checking of work products
- Build and maintain professional relationships with design teams and other disciplines
- Develop and improve technical knowledge and skills
- Travel to Client offices and production facilities accompanied by more senior engineers or designers
Skills
- High school diploma or equivalent. (Post‑secondary training a plus)
- 1-3 years' design experience
- Proficiency with CAD software
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel
- Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn
- Ability to accept direction, feedback, and mentorship
- AutoCAD 2022 or newer experience
- Exposure to AutoCAD 3D
- Familiarity with Bluebeam Revu
- Familiarity with Autodesk Navisworks Freedom
- Familiarity with Microsoft Teams
