Research Advisor

Research Assistant (Full-Time, Contract, $45-55/hr) Location:Remote based in the US Overview: Our client is seeking a Research Assistant to support research projects focused on generative AI. The Research Assistant will join a dynamic research team and contribute to qualitative and quantitative studies, including literature reviews, coding survey data, running research sessions, and analyzing findings. This role is an excellent opportunity for candidates with a background in social sciences or human-computer interaction who are passionate about research and eager to grow their skills. Responsibilities: • Moderate both remote and in-person research sessions. • Conduct literature reviews and research searches. • Read and synthesize academic articles and reports. • Code and analyze open-ended survey data, interview transcripts, and qualitative materials. • Assist with survey writing, piloting, data collection, cleaning, and analysis. • Summarize findings and prepare reports or presentations for the research team. • Provide support on research logistics and project tasks. Qualifications: • B.A./B.S. in psychology, sociology, communication, linguistics, political science, HCI, or related field. • Strong written and verbal communication skills. • Attention to detail, organization, and time management skills. • Ability to work independently and collaboratively with cross-functional teams. • Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, and basic research tools. • Preferred: academic research lab experience, survey piloting, coding qualitative data, and basic programming/statistical skills.
