XtraMath is a nonprofit EdTech platform serving millions of students and teachers worldwide with a mission of universal math fact fluency. We operate at scale under strict student data privacy requirements and deliver highly reliable SaaS at extremely low per-student cost. We’re seeking a hands-on QA/PM to own our release process: keeping the backlog aligned, ensuring disciplined quality, and making every push from beta to production. This is a part-time role designed for someone who thrives on autonomy and wants to make a direct, lasting impact on a mission-driven product. Compensation: ~$2,500/month ($25/hour) Commitment: ~25 hours/week (remote, flexible, 9-5 PST) Core Responsibilities Quality & Testing • Define lean test plans and acceptance criteria for new features. • Run beta cycles, gather structured feedback, and validate fixes before production. • Perform regression passes and provide major release sign-off. • Document issues clearly and feed them back into backlog management. Process Leadership/Program Management • Establish simple release checklists and quality gates appropriate for a lean team. • Facilitate lightweight sprint planning and release readiness reviews. • Curate backlog requests and track roadmap priorities • Translate roadmap items into clear, testable deliverables. Requirements • 2+ years of owning QA sign-off for production • Familiarity with SaaS stack, bug tracking & backlog tools (Linear, Jira, Notion, etc.). • Ability to develop lightweight, automated workflows that fit a small, resource-constrained team. Nice to Have • Strong communicator across technical and non-technical stakeholders. • Proven ability to coordinate across stakeholders and manage a unified backlog. • Experience in education technology or nonprofit SaaS. • Familiarity with data privacy, security, and/or compliance controls. • Proactive use of GenAI tools for productivity workflows Job Types: Part-time, Contract Pay: $25.00 per hour Expected hours: 25 per week Benefits: • Flexible schedule Work Location: Remote
