Public Opportunities Estimator [REMOTE]

A growing civil construction firm is seeking an experienced estimator to help lead and refine its public bidding strategy. This role offers the chance to work closely with leadership, influence key decisions, and shape how the company approaches public infrastructure opportunities. The position is focused on estimating and preconstruction planning, with the flexibility to work remotely. Key responsibilities • Collaborate with leadership to continuously improve the public bidding process • Develop accurate and competitive bolthires estimates for civil projects • Coordinate with subcontractors and suppliers to gather pricing and ensure coverage • Analyze project scope and sequencing to validate production and bolthires assumptions • Prepare proposals using estimating software and internal tools • Work with business development and marketing teams to identify and pursue opportunities • Track bid outcomes and use insights to guide future decisions • Attend pre-bid meetings and submit clarification questions to project owners • Partner with operations to determine production rates and transition awarded work Qualifications • At least 3 years of experience in civil estimating • Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently • Solid understanding of construction materials, labor, and equipment resources • Proficiency with Bluebeam and/or Excel • Experience with InEight or similar estimating software is a plus Benefits • Competitive salary with performance-based bonuses • Health, dental, and vision insurance • Paid time off, holidays, and family leave • 401(k) with company match • Company-provided phone and laptop • Remote work flexibility Apply tot his job
