YouTube Video Assistant Editor

Apply Now
I’m looking for an assistant video editor to help with secondary editing tasks for my YouTube channel. This is a secondary editing role, not a full editor role. So you won’t have to create the storyline narrative and build the video from scratch (but I’m open to hiring someone for this later). This project is a paid trial for a potential long-term role. For this video project, it is a talking-head video with multiple segments filmed in different environments. I have already edited most of the video. I have structured it, trimmed mistakes, leveled the audio volume/ dB range, and added most B-ROLL. Your job is to add final effects. Specifically, this mainly means: add text (effects), add transitions/any sounds, infographics. I can provide you with: The final version that I did (has text, transitions already) [https://youtu.be/oActM0eR4_s] OR I can give you a clean version of the video which doesn’t have text or visual transition effects between each part [https://youtu.be/-HBlGqRr4yE] I’ll also provide a text-document containing time-stamps of the text I put and where I put transition effects, so you can use this for your reference:[https://docs.google.com/document/d/1LDax6FFijs61NN-ZpUfRMydh3p_axX96yzlqi3PTUrw] This trial task is so that I can see your editing and how you would create the video. It doesn't need to be heavily edited. Something that feels easy to follow and not too intense or dramatic is fine. You can choose whichever version you’d like to edit. I don’t mind. If you would like to add more changes, then you can. If selected for future projects, this will be the task: I will put together the structure of the video, check for mistakes and trim it down, but you will: check for any other mistakes, equalize volume, do the text/sound/visual effects (like for this project) and any other final adjustments you think are needed. Future jobs will be higher budget ($50+ per video depending on amount of work needed), but this project is cheaper because I’ve already done most of the work and also giving you the time-stamps of exactly where you can edit, so it’s less mental load for you. Requirements: •Must be the type to check small details (this is VERY important!) • Have graphic skills • Responds quickly • Able to follow instructions • Fluent written English (so there’s no spelling mistakes) • Can finish this within 48-72 hours (not more than that) Please include: • Some examples of YouTube videos you have edited. • The software you use (Premiere, CapCut, Final Cut, DaVinci, etc.) Because this is a paid trial for long-term work, I will hire multiple people for this project to see who is the right fit. So even if you see this job post late, you can still offer your service.
