An opportunity is available for an experienced RN with telemetry expertise to provide specialized nursing care in a dynamic inpatient setting focused on stroke (neuro) patients. This travel assignment requires flexibility, advanced clinical skills, and dedication to delivering high-quality care during night shifts.

Responsibilities:
• Manage inpatient telemetry patients with a nurse-to-patient ratio of approximately 1:5 to 1:6
• Provide specialized nursing care for stroke and neuro patients including wound care, feeding tube management, and isolation precautions
• Perform central and peripheral line care, blood product administration, and IV starts
• Conduct remote telemetry monitoring and on-unit patient assessments
• Adhere to facility policies, including mandatory float assignment across multiple care locations
• Maintain regulatory compliance including passing a required EKG exam
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes on night shifts (7p–7:30a), working 3 twelve-hour shifts every other week with holidays as needed
Qualifications / Desired Experience:
• Minimum 2 years of RN telemetry experience; prior travel nursing experience is welcomed but not required
• Certification in BLS and NIH Stroke Scale required
• Skilled in EPIC electronic medical records
• Competency with telemetry remote monitoring and unit-based patient surveillance
• Experience with feeding tube care, ports, central and PICC line management
• Ability to work independently with strong clinical decision-making skills
• Flexibility to float to other facilities within the healthcare system
Schedule:
• 3x12 hour night shifts (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM)
• Every other weekend and holiday coverage required
