Role Overview
A hybrid expert combining:
• PE (provide stamps + engineering review)
• BEMP/LEED modeler (baseline models, LEED forms, QA/QC)
• ASHRAE Level II/III auditor (field verification + measured data)
• Local code specialist (Title 24, NYC Code, IECC, etc.)
What You’ll Do
• Review automated reports for accuracy
• Stamp reports for permits + certifications
• Generate/validate ASHRAE 90.1 Appendix G baselines
• Complete LEED EAp2/EAc1 submissions
• Conduct field audits + verify measured data
• Build jurisdiction-specific compliance templates
Requirements
• Licensed PE (any state)
• BEMP or equivalent modeling expertise
• LEED AP preferred
• ASHRAE 211 Level II/III audit experience
• Strong EnergyPlus/eQUEST skills
• Deep knowledge of state/local energy codes
Compensation
• $500–$10k per project depending on scope
• 20–40% revenue share on certified projects
• 0.5–2% equity for founding partners
