Summer Course Instructor (Online, Part-Time) POP – Inspiring Intellectual Exploration About POP POP is a global education company dedicated to developing students into confident, independent, and analytical thinkers. Through academically rigorous and inquiry-driven courses, we help students build the intellectual foundations needed for top universities and for life. Our summer programs allow students to explore academic subjects in depth while developing critical thinking, communication, and intellectual curiosity. Courses are designed to be engaging, rigorous, and interactive. We welcome instructors who are passionate about their subjects and excited to share their expertise with motivated students. The Role We are seeking passionate Summer Course Instructors to teach short-term online courses in subjects they are excited about. Courses typically run between 2 and 4 weeks and are taught in virtually in small group classes. Teachers may propose their own courses or teach existing POP curriculum. This is a remote, part-time position with flexible scheduling. Possible Course Topics We welcome a wide range of subjects, including: • Philosophy • Public Speaking • Debate • Creative Writing • Academic Writing • Reading comprehension • Literature • Vocabulary • Psychology • Economics • History • Politics • Science Topics • Ethics • Logic • Leadership • Research Skills • AP Course Previews • And More! Instructors are encouraged to propose unique or specialized courses. What You Will Do • Teach live online classes using Zoom, daily for 90 minutes • Design or adapt course materials • Lead structured, engaging, and interactive lessons • Encourage discussion and participation • Provide feedback on student work • Track student progress • Communicate with students and parents when needed • Collaborate with POP’s academic team to continuously improve curriculum and teaching quality Who We’re Looking ForRequired • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field • Virtual teaching or tutoring experience • Strong communication skills • Comfortable teaching online • Passion for your subject area • Ability to engage students • Ability to create engaging and interactive lessons to achieve specific objectives Preferred • Master’s degree or higher • Experience designing curriculum • Experience teaching enrichment courses • Experience working with international students • Experience teaching virtual small-group classes Compensation & Benefits • Compensation for summer courses is $80 per 90-minute class and includes the following: • Creating your lessons/materials, teaching daily live class, sending daily homework email and weekly summary email, giving feedback on homework and assignments, attending summer camp team meetings • Collaborative teaching community • Flexible scheduling • Opportunity to teach courses you are passionate about • Access to POP resources and support • Potential for ongoing teaching opportunities How to Apply Please email the following to with the subject line: Summer Instructor Application • Resume • Cover letter • Proposed course ideas (optional) • Relevant certificates or transcripts (if available) Join POP and inspire students through engaging and intellectually meaningful summer learning experiences.
