This is a remote position. 40 hours a week Monday to Friday 9am - 6pm with 1 hour unpaid break We are seeking a creative and strategic Social Media Specialist/Strategist to lead content creation, community engagement, and audience growth across various social media platforms. The ideal candidate is passionate about connecting with women—especially single mothers and those who have experienced trauma—through thoughtful, empathetic, and engaging digital content. This role is pivotal in helping build a strong, supportive online community. Key Responsibilities Manage and create content across platforms including Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest , and potentially TikTok Repurpose written blog content into YouTube videos with appropriate voiceovers , adhering to a consistent weekly posting schedule Create and maintain social media calendars with scheduled, brand-aligned content Engage with the community by responding to comments , messages , and participating in meaningful conversations Conduct targeted outreach by joining relevant groups, initiating partnerships, and connecting with influencers Send direct messages to foster deeper audience engagement and grow the community Develop tailored content strategies that resonate with the brand’s core audience of women and single mothers Optimize social media accounts with consistent branding, bio descriptions, and visually appealing elements Requirements Proven experience in social media management across platforms (Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest, YouTube) - APPLICANTS MUST SUBMIT PORTFOLIOS Skilled in video editing and creation, especially for YouTube Deep understanding of content strategy , platform trends, and audience engagement techniques Empathetic communication style with sensitivity to topics related to trauma and motherhood Ability to manage multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and work independently Strong written English skills with the ability to craft meaningful and engaging posts Proficiency in social media scheduling tools (e.g., Later, Buffer, Hootsuite) and understanding of analytics for performance tracking Preferred Skills Experience working with women-focused brands or trauma-informed communities Knowledge of SEO best practices for content repurposing across blogs and social platforms Basic graphic design skills using Canva, Adobe Express, or similar tools ​ Independent Contractor Perks HMO Coverage for eligible locations Permanent work from home Immediate hiring Steady freelance job ZR_24604_JOB Originally posted on Himalayas
