The Sales Development Representative role serves as the entry point into a client-facing sales career, focusing on generating new pipeline through inbound inquiries and strategic outbound prospecting.
Responsibilities
- Strategically managing and calling a high volume of inbound leads, effectively prioritizing and organizing your pipeline to maximize conversion
- Leverage our sales tools and Get to know our clients' business challenges along with their Payroll, Benefits, and HR needs to show them how OnPay's solutions can make their lives easier and their businesses run smoother
- Create a great first impression as the initial point of contact by showing enthusiasm about OnPay
- Partnering closely with Account Executives to schedule initial conversation and help move along qualified pipeline through the sales cycle
- Energetically engage with prospective clients as an educational resource to discover our customer’s needs and help them feel comfortable about our solutions
- Learning how to anticipate, prepare, and overcome objections
- Building credibility and trust with internal and external stakeholders
- Demonstrating adaptability and flexibility as part of an ever-growing sales organization
- Seek out cross self-development opportunities and industry knowledge to better perform in your current role and grow with OnPay

Skills
- 0-2 years in a client-facing role and/or sales development role
- B2B software or Prior Payroll experience is a plus
- College experience (degree strongly preferred)
