Genomelink is a YC-backed consumer genomics startup building the world’s first DNA App Store. If you’ve had your DNA tested, you can upload your data to Genomelink to unlock deeper ancestry breakdowns, DNA matches across platforms, and powerful genealogy AI tools. We’re a remote-first company with team members in the US, Japan, Argentina, Australia, New Zealand, India, and beyond. We’re now looking for a Back-Office Operations Specialist who can manage accounting, customer support, and social media operations—leveraging the latest AI tools to achieve 10x efficiency compared to traditional operations. This is a unique opportunity to work directly with the founders, learn how a YC-backed startup operates, and be part of building an AI-native company. Responsibilities (Approx. 100 hrs/month) • Accounting – US Parent Company (20 hrs/month): Monthly bookkeeping, coordinate tax filings with experts, sales tax filing • Accounting – Japanese Subsidiary (10 hrs/month): Monthly bookkeeping, coordinate tax filings with experts • Customer Support (40 hrs/month): Manage support tickets and customer inquiries, use AI tools to streamline responses and knowledge base updates • Social Media Management (10 hrs/month): Manage company social channels, support content scheduling and engagement tracking • General Operations Support (10 hrs/month): Assist with ad-hoc back-office and administrative tasks Who You Are • 5+ years of accounting and tax filing experience (US and/or Japan) • Comfortable wearing multiple hats—accounting, customer support, and social media management • Excited to adopt AI tools to maximize productivity • Comfortable working independently and directly with founders • Business-level English or higher Compensation • Hourly Rate: $30–$100 (depending on qualifications) • Monthly Estimate: $3,000–$5,000 (based on ~100 hours/month) Work Style • Fully remote, bring your own device • Must be able to install required security software If you’re looking to play a pivotal role in a fast-growing, AI-powered startup and want to work on a variety of back-office functions, we’d love to hear from you!
