About the Role We are looking for a part-time social media assistant to support the social media goals and initiatives of the Graduate School of Risk Management (GSRM) and its constituents. As a social media assistant, you will play a crucial role in creating and curating engaging content, managing social media platforms, and analyzing performance metrics. This is an excellent opportunity to develop your skills in social media marketing, content creation, and online engagement. Key Responsibilities Content Creation and Curation: Schedule, edit, upload, and update content for GSRM subdivisions across various social media platforms. Social Media Management: Review and ensure consistency in messaging, fix errors, and eliminate redundant or dated content. Social Media Calendar: Develop a social media calendar for upcoming events and schedule social media posts. Online Marketing: Assist with online marketing of events in GSRM. Analytics and Reporting: Conduct regular assessments to report updates, issues, and opportunities identified through platform analytics and constituent feedback. Communication and Collaboration: Communicate ongoing social media needs with the Director of Communications and Marketing and other stakeholders. Content Migration: Migrate digital content as necessary. Content Production: Assist in the production, editing, and proofreading of social media posts, electronic newsletters, reports, and other materials. Branding and Tone: Ensure consistent SJU, Tobin College, and GSRM branding and tone across all content. Requirements and Qualifications Essential Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree: In English, journalism, marketing, advertisement, or communications-related field. Experience: Up to two (2) years of related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience. Computer Skills: Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office, social media management platforms, and electronic document management. Social Media Knowledge: Knowledge of social media marketing strategies, social media functions, and SEO. Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to write effectively under deadline. Flexibility and Adaptability: Flexibility to work independently and as part of a team, with exceptional time management and adaptability to changing communications needs. Preferred Qualifications: Basic Knowledge: Basic knowledge of risk management, insurance, and/or actuarial science.
