Crawford & Company is currently recruiting for a Junior Claims Adjuster to join their claims adjusting team. The successful candidate will evaluate general claims while working closely with a licensed adjuster, interpreting coverage and negotiating settlements in compliance with regulations.
Responsibilities
- Investigation, collection, and analysis of claims information
- Accurate recording, reporting and file maintenance
- Examine policies and claims settlement within Provincial licensing regulations
- Work with manager to maintain client relations
Skills
- Post-secondary education in an insurance related field, working towards independent adjusting license and CIP designation
- Minimum 1 year of functional and technical experience in an insurance environment
- Knowledge of property and liability will be considered an asset
- Proficient in maintaining accurate and detailed activity, transaction and reserve records
- Computer and reporting skills including Office 365, proficiency in using Excel
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Attention to detail
- Strong analytical and mathematical ability
- Able to manage multiple priorities
- Must be a team player with a strong commitment to quality and customer service
