Contract: Part-time/Timesheet (Flexible hours-days and/or weekends)
Qualifications and Requirements:
• Valid Ohio Intervention Specialist License issued by the Ohio Department of Education and Workforce
• Bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited institution
• Must pass BCI/FBI Background check
• Strong Knowledge of special education laws, the IEP process, and compliance documentation
• Experience using SameGoal (or similar IEP management system).
• Excellent communication, organization, and technology skills
• Ability to work independently and mange time effectively in a virtual environment
Specific Duties:
• Provide Specially Designed Instruction (SDI) in accordance with each student’s IEP, ensuring accessibility and progress in the general curriculum.
• Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) using SameGoal.
• Maintain compliance with IDEA, Section 504, ADA, and all state and federal special education regulations.
• Collect, document, and analyze data on student performance to inform instruction and IEP progress monitoring.
• Collaborate with staff to provide consultation and ensure accommodations and modifications are implemented effectively.
• Communicate regularly with students, parents/guardians, and team members regarding student progress, needs, and supports.
• Participate in IEP meetings, Evaluation Team Reports (ETRs), and multidisciplinary conferences.
• Assist students in the development and monitoring of graduation plans and ensure alignment with credit and pathway requirements.
• Support the monitoring of attendance and student engagement, following up with families and administrators as needed.
• Maintain accurate and timely records in all required systems.
• Participate in professional development activities to stay current on best practices, legal updates, and online instructional strategies.
• Demonstrate effective time management and the ability to work independently while meeting deadlines and compliance timelines.
• Contribute to a positive, student-centered, and collaborative virtual school culture.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Superintendent or designee.
