Illustrator (Freelance) Remote IXL Learning, developer of personalized learning products used by millions of people globally, is seeking a skilled illustrator and graphic designer to join our curriculum team. In this role, you will work closely with IXL curriculum designers to create engaging images for online materials across multiple subject areas, including math, language arts, science, and social studies. #LI-REMOTE This is a remote, 1099 consulting role for three months with a possible extension. WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING Create visually appealing images for online materials, including engaging illustrations that complement stories and mathematically and scientifically precise diagrams, graphs, and maps Maintain visual consistency and ensure adherence to IXL style guidelines Effectively manage multiple illustration projects under tight deadlines Revise images based on feedback from curriculum designers WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR Strong craftsmanship and illustration skills with a keen eye for design A degree in Illustration, Graphic Design, or a related field The ability to create engaging, clean, kid-friendly illustrations and designs (both SVGs and raster images) that align with IXL's style guidelines Experience as an illustrator/graphic designer for online content, preferably in an education-related field Proficiency with Adobe Suite, particularly Illustrator Strong communication skills, with the ability to present ideas clearly through sketches, verbal communication, and written formats Excellent attention to detail and strong organization skills Receptive to feedback and able to internalize feedback to apply it to future projects Proven ability to manage multiple design requests efficiently and meet deadlines Experience sourcing and manipulating images from Shutterstock Familiarity with Jira is a plus WHAT TO INCLUDE IN YOUR APPLICATION Your resume A link to your portfolio ABOUT IXL LEARNING IXL Learning is the country's largest EdTech company.
