What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Perform HCC coding for Medicare Advantage, Affordable Care Act, and End Stage Renal Disease projects
- Assist with regulatory audits by conducting initial coding reviews and ranking charts
- Participate in ad-hoc projects addressing departmental needs and provide recommendations for improvements
- Maintain coding accuracy and productivity in compliance with CMS guidelines
- Engage in educational meetings related to Remote Patient Monitoring coding
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in HCC coding and/or coding and billing
- Certification as a Certified Professional Coder (CPC), Certified Risk Coder (CRC), Certified Coding Specialist (CCS), or Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT)
- Strong attention to detail and critical thinking skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- 5 years of experience in HCC coding and/or coding and billing
- Associate degree in medical billing/coding, health insurance, healthcare, or related field
