Job Overview
As a Youth Coach and Instructor at The Little Gym of Fruit Cove, you will be responsible for leading fitness, gymnastics, and dance classes for children aged 4 months to 12 years. You will be expected to create a fun, engaging, and supportive environment that fosters a sense of community and encourages children to develop their skills and reach their full potential. Key Responsibilities
- Greet members and guests promptly and enthusiastically, every time, to maintain our high-spirited and positive environment
- Register and check-in all guests, ensuring a seamless and efficient experience
- Lead classes in all age groups, developing and implementing engaging lesson plans that cater to diverse learning styles and abilities
- Demonstrate a strong work ethic, leading by example and motivating others to do the same
- Meet sales goals through membership sales, retail, and renewals, ensuring the long-term sustainability of our programs
- Ensure consistency and continuity in all actions, upholding The Little Gym brand and values
- Follow up and follow through with prospective members, providing exceptional customer service and support
- Work closely with trainers and other staff members to ensure a first-class experience for all members
- Maintain the facility, ensuring it is clean, well-maintained, and operationally sound
Essential Qualifications
- Sales experience, preferably in a fitness or sports-related setting
- A passion for working with children and making a positive impact on their lives
- Outstanding customer service and communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment, collaborating with other staff members to achieve common goals
- Health- and fitness-minded, with a strong understanding of the importance of physical activity for children's development
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in the fitness industry, preferably in a coaching or instructional role
- Background in sports, physical education, or a related field
- Experience working with children of diverse ages, abilities, and backgrounds
- First aid and CPR certification, or willingness to obtain
