**Job Summary:**
We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Volunteer Faith To Faithless Safety Chat Facilitator to join our team. As a Safety Chat Facilitator, you will be the first point of contact for individuals who are interested in our services, providing them with a safe and supportive environment to discuss their experiences and connect with our community. This is a unique opportunity to positively impact lives and help create a more inclusive community for the ex-religious.
**Key Responsibilities:**
* Conduct Safety Chats with individuals who are interested in our services, providing them with information about our programs and answering any questions they may have
* Assess the suitability of individuals for our services, ensuring that they are a good fit for our community
* Provide a safe and supportive environment for individuals to discuss their experiences and connect with our community
* Collaborate with our team to develop and implement strategies to support the needs of our service users
* Participate in ongoing training and professional development to enhance your skills and knowledge
**Essential Qualifications:**
* Experience working with vulnerable populations, particularly those who have left a religion
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with individuals from diverse backgrounds
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a high level of discretion and confidentiality
* Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills, with the ability to navigate complex situations
* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a high level of flexibility and adaptability
**Preferred Qualifications:**
* Experience working in a volunteer or community-based setting
* Knowledge of the issues faced by individuals who have left a religion, including emotional and physical abuse, homelessness, and systemic failures by statutory organizations
* Experience with online platforms and video conferencing tools
* Ability to speak multiple languages, particularly those spoken by individuals from diverse backgrounds
