Experienced Seasonal Ticket and Customer Service Representative for Live Events – Traveling Role with Opportunities for Growth and Development in the Arts Industry

About the Role We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Seasonal Ticket and Customer Service Representative to join our team from June to August. As a key member of our events team, you will travel to various locations nationwide, providing exceptional customer support at the box office and entry gates during our events. Key Responsibilities Arrive promptly at designated box office locations to assist with preparation for ticket sales, ensuring a smooth and efficient experience for our customers. Facilitate event walk-up sales and respond to customer inquiries in a professional and courteous manner, providing excellent customer service and resolving any issues that may arise. Assist customers in selecting the best seats within their preferred price range, ensuring that they have an exceptional experience at our events. Troubleshoot mobile ticket access issues for customers, providing timely and effective solutions to ensure that they can access our events without hassle. Resolve customer conflicts with support from the On-site Ticket Office Manager, maintaining a positive and professional demeanor at all times. Address customer concerns, requests, and complaints courteously and efficiently, ensuring that our customers feel valued and supported throughout their experience with us. Maintain a positive attitude and a genuine interest in helping others, fostering a customer-centric environment within the box office and prioritizing safety, quality, and sales promotion. Perform additional duties as needed, being flexible and adaptable in a fast-paced environment. Essential Qualifications Previous customer service experience is required, with box office experience preferred. A willingness to travel for 3-5 consecutive days is essential, as you will be required to travel to various locations nationwide during our events season. Highly motivated self-starter with strong verbal communication skills, able to work effectively in a team environment and engage with both customers and staff. Ability to work hands-on and think critically, troubleshooting issues and providing effective solutions in a fast-paced environment. High school diploma is required, with further education or training in customer service, hospitality, or a related field being an asset. Preferred Qualifications Experience working in a box office or ticketing environment, with knowledge of ticketing software and systems. Previous experience working in a live events or entertainment environment, with an understanding of the importance of delivering exceptional customer service in a fast-paced and dynamic setting. Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution skills, with the ability to remain calm and professional under pressure. Ability to work effectively in a team environment, with a positive and supportive attitude and a willingness to help others. Strong communication and interpersonal skills , with the ability to work effectively with customers, staff, and other stakeholders. Compensation and Benefits We offer a competitive compensation package, including a daily rate of $250 per event (before taxes), as well as travel and hotel expenses covered by blithequark.
