We are seeking an exceptional Quality Assurance Engineer to join our team as a Quality Management System (QMS) Implementation Lead, responsible for implementing and maintaining our MSP Quality Management System specifications.
About the Role
As a QMS Implementation Lead at arenaflex, you will play a critical role in partnering with internal customers, including Operations, Maintenance, Process, and Ops Engineering, to ensure that our QMS implementation meets their needs. You will also collaborate with the Quality Assurance (QA) Execution team to ensure alignment and consistency with QMS specifications and work closely with the QMS Design Manager to adhere to specifications and develop relevant procedures and instructions.
The primary objective of the MSP team is to drive future innovation in mechatronics and packaging, focusing on industrial hardware and control machines such as robotic cells, autonomous vehicles, sortation, packing technologies, and packaging materials. We foster strategic partnerships with key stakeholders, including Operations, RME, ACES, Supply Chain, Transportation, and WW Design, to deliver robust products that seamlessly integrate into the arenaflex Fulfillment network.
Key Responsibilities
- Own MSP QMS implementation, ensuring fulfillment of internal customer expectations and consistency with QMS specifications defined by the QMS Design Manager.
- Analyze and perform periodic audits on QMS process implementation to identify areas for improvement.
- Support the QMS Design Manager in gathering relevant specifications in line with internal policies and applicable quality and design standards.
- Cooperate with the MSP Safety and Compliance Team to ensure consistency of QMS implementation with the Safety Management System.
- Manage QMS implementation scope, budget, schedule, issues, risk, communication, and other elements as needed.
- Implement suitable quality metrics for MSP products to measure performance and drive continuous improvement.
- Support the adherence of product testing and validation to QMS processes and procedures, ensuring compliance with international standards and best practices.
Essential Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A Bachelor's degree (BS) in a relevant field, such as engineering or quality management.
- 4+ years of proven experience in QMS implementation for advanced robotics, automotive, or mechatronic products.
- Theoretical and hands-on experience in quality auditing, evaluation, and quality management system design in accordance with international standards and best practices (e.g., ISO 9001).
Preferred Qualifications
While not essential, the following qualifications are highly desirable:
- Experience with complex automated material handling equipment, packaging technologies, and systems, including robotics and high-speed manufacturing.
- Strong communication skills to coordinate with team members, operations, and management, with the ability to articulate complex ideas and negotiate with stakeholders.
- Proven experience in fulfillment systems with storage equipment, material handling systems, automated sortation systems, and related automation equipment.
- Knowledge of NRTL and/or CE compliance standards and regulations, auditing and assessment processes, including the definition and execution of quality and safety-related checklists for product, factory, and operational process inspection (e.g., CIG 023).
- Strong analytical, testing, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex data sets and develop creative solutions.
- Proven experience using quality management tools (e.g., Siemens TeamCenter Quality, Polarion) and data-management software to implement Quality Management Systems based on specifications.
- Project management skills to plan, execute, and complete tasks successfully, with the ability to prioritize multiple projects and manage competing deadlines.
