About the Role: Intervention Specialist
We are seeking an experienced Intervention Specialist to join our team in a live virtual education setting. As an Intervention Specialist, you will have the opportunity to make a significant difference in the lives of students by providing targeted and intensive support through small group instruction in an online environment. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify and implement effective student support strategies, developing content, and communicating with stakeholders to drive student growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and deliver intensive live interventions to small groups of students using research-based instructional best practices in an online video-based tutoring platform.
- Collaborate with internal and external teams to determine proper targeted supports for students.
- Communicate support, rationale, and feedback to appropriate stakeholders, including students, parents, teachers, and colleagues.
- Use data to drive decisions regarding strategies, instruction, and paths of growth for students.
- Coordinate student transitions with appropriate stakeholders to ensure seamless support.
- Work effectively and efficiently within a communication process for internal and external stakeholders.
- Create and communicate an intervention schedule to internal and external stakeholders.
- Communicate professionally in all written and verbal interactions, with students, parents, teachers, and colleagues.
Essential Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 years of teaching or academic intervention experience; or an acceptable combination of education and experience.
- Active teaching certification/license is required.
- Ability to deliver dynamic and engaging instruction in an online video-based tutoring platform.
- Highly motivated with excellent verbal and written communication, presentation, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to generate creative solutions and provide ideas to assist students and educators with a growth mindset.
- Willingness and ability to work flexible hours.
- Self-starter with strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to handle multiple priorities with demanding timeframes.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, online video chat, and database software is a must.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience supporting students and educators in a blended, virtual, or online learning environment.
- Understanding of student interventions best practices.
- For day shift part-time positions, availability of at least 18 hours a week, with the ability to work a set shift with consecutive days and hours.
- For evening shift part-time positions (between 4-8 p.m. Eastern), at least 12 hours a week is required, with the ability to work a set shift with consecutive days and hours.

- A competitive salary, with base pay anticipated to be between $39,520 and $41,995 per year for partial-full time positions, and between $19.63 and $20.19 per hour for part-time positions.
