About the Role We are looking for an enthusiastic and results-driven Insurance Customer Service Representative to play a critical role in our team. As a key member of our client services team, you will be responsible for managing client communications, nurturing important relationships, and keeping track of policy details and documentation in a secured system. Your primary focus will be on delivering exceptional client experiences, driving business growth, and contributing to the overall success of our agency. Key Responsibilities Support clients in reporting claims on current policies by gathering all necessary documentation and providing timely updates to ensure a seamless claims process Record and track policy updates or changes on customer accounts, communicating effectively with clients to explain any updates to their coverage and ensuring they are fully informed Assist with the renewal process, providing competitive quotes and ensuring that clients receive the best possible coverage options Respond to client inquiries, providing clear and concise answers to questions about coverage, billing, and policy changes, and ensuring that clients have a thorough understanding of their insurance products Stay up-to-date with industry standards, current rates, coverages, insurance products, and carriers, regularly communicating with industry partners to ensure that our clients receive the most accurate and relevant information Review current clients' coverage needs, determining if updates or changes are warranted, and making recommendations to ensure that clients have the most suitable coverage for their needs Communicate clear and concise responses to coverage or billing inquiries, ensuring that clients are fully informed and satisfied with our services Process and document calls, emails, and policy updates, maintaining accurate and detailed records of all client interactions Essential Qualifications To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following essential qualifications: An active insurance license in Minnesota, or a willingness to obtain a license within 30 days of hire Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex insurance concepts in a clear and concise manner Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex issues and develop effective solutions Great follow-up skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously Basic computer skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.) Preferred Qualifications While not essential, the following qualifications are preferred: Insurance experience as an insurance agent or in a related role, with a deep understanding of insurance products and services Previous experience in a customer-facing role, with a proven track record of delivering exceptional customer service Strong knowledge of industry standards, current rates, coverages, and insurance products, with the ability to stay up-to-date with industry developments Skills and Competencies To succeed in this role, you will need to possess the following skills and competencies: Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients and colleagues Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to think critically and develop effective solutions Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a high level of energy and motivation Strong attention to detail, with a focus on accuracy and quality Career Growth Opportunities At blithequark, we are committed to helping our employees grow and develop in their careers.
