This remote position is responsible for the accounting capabilities associated with the sales and use tax assessment and permit to operate compliance processes. As an Accountant at arenaflex, you will participate in the monthly accounting close cycle, prepare recurring monthly journal entries, and coordinate general ledger account reconciliations. Your expertise in general ledger data analysis and ability to create monthly data files that accommodate the general ledger for our co-source charge compliance supplier will be essential in this role. While prior sales tax experience is not required, the ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in accounting principles and a keen eye for detail.
This position typically reports to a Senior Manager. As an individual contributor, this role does not have direct reports, but you will be expected to collaborate with cross-functional teams and provide guidance and support to junior staff members as needed.
Occasional overnight travel may be required, but this will be limited to less than 10% of the time. As a remote employee, you will have the flexibility to work from anywhere in the USA, with the occasional need to travel to our Atlanta-based office or other locations for meetings and training.
The majority of your time will be spent sitting in a comfortable position, with regular opportunities to move about. Occasionally, you may need to lift or move light objects, but this will be rare. Our office environment is comfortable and indoor-based, with minimal exposure to unpleasant conditions.
