Job Overview The Trip Assignment Specialist is a critical member of our team, responsible for assigning trips to dispatchers and Care Partners on a nightly basis. This role requires a high level of organization, attention to detail, and excellent communication skills. As a Trip Assignment Specialist, you will be the backbone of our evening operations, ensuring that our members receive the best possible service during our evening hours. Key Responsibilities Assign trips to dispatchers in the Health-E Rides system, managing approximately 700-900 trips per night with precision and efficiency. Build dispatchers' daily schedules, taking into account breaks and lunches to ensure seamless operations. Stack trips to contracted Care Partners, optimizing our transportation network for maximum efficiency. Answer inbound calls from members during evening hours, providing exceptional customer service and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner. Coordinate evening trips as they come in, ensuring that our members receive prompt and reliable transportation. Assist with Care Partner related administrative tasks, such as payment processing, to ensure the smooth operation of our transportation network. Assist with Level 1 administrative tickets in Zendesk, providing support to our members and internal teams. Requirements To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following essential qualifications: Previous experience in dispatching and coordinating transportation, preferably in a non-emergency medical transportation setting. Healthcare experience is preferred, but not required. However, a strong understanding of the healthcare industry and its unique challenges is an asset. Consistently reliable and able to work evening shifts, Monday (night) to Friday (night), from 11:30pm to 8am PT. This requires a high level of flexibility and adaptability. Preferred Qualifications In addition to the essential qualifications, the following skills and competencies are preferred: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with our members, dispatchers, and Care Partners. Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities simultaneously. Proficiency in the Health-E Rides system, or similar transportation management software, is an asset. Experience with Zendesk, or similar customer service software, is preferred. A strong understanding of customer service principles and practices, with a focus on providing exceptional service to our members.
