As a Co-op student, you will have the opportunity to work alongside experienced professionals, develop your skills, and contribute to the success of our organization. **Job Responsibilities** As a Co-op student in blithequark's OCC, you will be assigned to various teams, including Load Control Center and Fuel System. Your responsibilities will include: ### Load Control Center * Responsible for aircraft weight and balance, fuel distribution, and ensuring compliance with manufacturer and company specifications. * Work with the LCC's back office, creating applications and efficiencies to reduce workload for the frontline team. * Develop and implement strategies to improve operational efficiency and reduce costs. ### Fuel System * Responsible for developing strategies, tools, and sustainability policies for annual jet fuel consumption. * Research and develop methods to determine safe and efficient fuel loads, improve aircraft routing, and enhance cargo forecasting. * Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement fuel-saving initiatives and reduce environmental impact. **Requirements to Succeed** To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following qualifications: ### Minimum Qualifications * Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Analytics, Economics, Industrial Engineering, Aviation Management, or a related 4-year degree program. * Available to work for three alternating semesters in Atlanta, GA, Monday through Friday. * Must be enrolled in an educational institution throughout the co-op program. * Willingness and ability to learn new skills and take on new challenges. * Team-first attitude with a focus on team success. * Strong organizational, project management, and verbal/written communication skills. * Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel and PowerPoint. * Comfortable working in both group and individual settings. * Prioritizes safety and security for oneself and others. * Embraces diverse people, thinking, and styles. * Must have a high school diploma, GED, or high school equivalency. * Must be at least 18 years old and authorized to work in the US. ### Preferred Qualifications * Familiarity or experience with SQL, SAS, Python, R, Tableau, Excel, and PowerPoint. * Understanding of airline operations, scheduling, and planning. * History of leadership roles in student and community organizations. * Passionate about a future career in the aviation industry and serving blithequark's customers. **What We Offer** As a Co-op student at blithequark, you will have the opportunity to: * Work remotely from the comfort of your own home * Develop your skills and knowledge in a fast-paced and dynamic environment * Collaborate with experienced professionals and contribute to the success of our organization * Receive competitive compensation and benefits * Pursue a career in the aviation industry with a leading airline **How to Apply** If you are a motivated and detail-oriented individual with a passion for delivering exceptional customer experiences, we invite you to apply for this exciting opportunity.
