About the Role This exciting opportunity is part of our Payments and Digital Strategy team at blithequark Credit Union. As a Customer Service Representative, you will be responsible for handling everyday functions related to check processing, item processing, direct bills, and fund transfers. Your expertise and passion for customer service will enable you to address challenges with flexibility and grace, learn new skills, and advance your career while having a positive impact on our customers' lives. Key Responsibilities Complete data entry and balancing functions with accuracy and attention to detail. Coordinate return items with contributors, vendors, the Federal Reserve Bank, and other institutions to ensure seamless transactions. Assist different departments with fraud resolution, member inquiries, and related Accounting standard ledger balancing to provide comprehensive support. Work on member cases/sports assigned, ensuring timely and effective resolution of customer issues. Follow and maintain guidelines and procedures to ensure strict compliance with NACHA regulations and guidelines, as well as Federal Banking laws. Process loan payments, multi-account and member deposits, credit card payments, and other checks, including IRA, bankruptcy, and payoff checks. Review, examine, and approve Remote Deposit, Mobile, ATM, and other imaged-enabled products to ensure quality and accuracy. Log, report, and make necessary GL, account changes, and/or returns to maintain accurate records. Process Stop Pays and Check Batching efficiently and effectively. Complete daily balancing and department closing tasks to ensure smooth operations. Obtain information from contributors for the timely and correct processing of international and domestic fund transfer requests. Research and confirm incoming and outgoing fund transfer information to ensure accuracy and compliance. Communicate with vendors to process fund transfers and resolve any issues that may arise. Understand and be familiar with outgoing and incoming fund transfer laws and regulations to provide expert support. Essential and Preferred Qualifications To succeed in this role, you will need: A high school diploma or GED as a minimum educational requirement. Intermediate Excel and Word skills to perform data entry and balancing functions accurately. Previous customer/member service experience is preferred, as well as previous banking or Credit Union experience. Familiarity with Episys/Symitar and processing wires is an asset. Skills and Competencies The ideal candidate will possess: Strong Microsoft Office skills, including Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint. Excellent customer service skills, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple responsibilities. Strong mathematical calculations and data analysis skills to perform tasks accurately. Ability to prioritize work and meet deadlines under high-volume pressure. Ability to cross-train and perform any role assigned within the department. Ability to engage professionally with all personnel and contributors. Ability to work independently and with minimal supervision. Strong self-motivation and attention to detail to ensure high-quality work.
