On our growing team, you'll find the opportunity to constantly learn, collaborate across groups, and explore new paths for your career. **Responsibilities** As a Customer Service Representative - Hospital Specialist, you will be responsible for: * Performing registration and basic insurance verification, ensuring collection of 7 critical data elements necessary for proper patient identification and billing. * Identifying and updating patient demographic information on the Host system as defined by departmental policy and procedures. * Identifying non-participating Insurance or Out of Networks plans; taking necessary steps to inform patients and physicians regarding options, including but not limited to canceling appointments. * Obtaining Insurance Card copies or validating insurance information via electronic medical record, transferring information, or insurance eligibility tool. * Providing courteous and accurate patient and hospital information with wayfinding instructions for patients, families, visitors, and ancillary areas. * Preparing documents for imaging/scanning into electronic patient records. * Explaining processes and forms to patients prior to securing signatures and ensuring that all documents are properly signed and witnessed as required. * Assembling and disassembling patient charts or departmental documents according to department policy. * Maintaining inventory control of forms and paper supplies needed in the area. * Assisting with all possible account resolutions pertaining to patient balances. * Performing all other duties and projects as assigned. * Having financial conversations and collecting payments based on patient estimated financial responsibilities/standard deposits. **Required Qualifications** To succeed in this role, you will need: * A High School diploma or GED * Customer Service Experience * Computer savvy with experience navigating between multiple systems simultaneously * Must have MS Office Experience and excellent typing skills **Desired Qualifications** While not required, the following qualifications would be beneficial: * iCentra Registration Experience * Experience working in a healthcare environment * Completed a Medical Terminology class Certification in healthcare access preferred **Work Environment and Company Culture** As a Customer Service Representative - Hospital Specialist at arenaflex, you will work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
