Experienced Customer Service Representative for Home Services Industry – Heating, Repair, and Installation Support

Job Overview This full-time Customer Service Representative position requires an initial 4 weeks of in-person training at our Wading River, NY office, Monday through Friday, from 8am-12pm. After completing the training period, you will have the flexibility to work from home, managing a high volume of incoming calls, emails, and text message inquiries from customers. Your shift will be Monday through Friday, 7:30am-4pm, with a competitive hourly rate of $18.00 and an expected 40 hours of work per week. Key Responsibilities Manage a high volume of incoming calls, emails, and text message inquiries from customers, providing accurate and timely information regarding products, services, and policies. Assist customers with order placement and scheduling, ensuring a seamless experience. Resolve customer complaints and issues in a professional and efficient manner, maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction. Maintain customer records and update information as needed, ensuring data accuracy and integrity. Collaborate with other departments to ensure customer satisfaction, promoting a culture of teamwork and open communication. Perform outbound calls to follow up on inquiries or obtain feedback, continuously improving our services and customer experience. Process orders, refunds, and returns efficiently with attention to detail, ensuring timely and accurate transactions. Communicate with customers, answering calls and emails to potential customers, and following up on leads to drive business growth. Prepare and email estimates, providing clear and concise information to customers. Essential Qualifications Previous experience in a customer service role is required, with a minimum of 1 year of experience preferred. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to effectively articulate complex information to customers. Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail, with a focus on resolving customer issues efficiently and professionally. Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively, managing multiple customer interactions and requests simultaneously. Proficient in using Windows, email, and creating and emailing PDF estimates and documents, with a strong foundation in technology and software applications. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities, maintaining a high level of productivity and performance. Preferred Qualifications Experience in the heating industry, with knowledge of fuel oil delivery, heating repair, and installation services. Familiarity with customer relationship management (CRM) software and other technology platforms used in customer service. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze customer data and trends to inform business decisions.
