Job Overview We are seeking an experienced Customer Service Representative to join our team at blithequark. As a Customer Service Representative, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional customer service, resolving customer issues, and providing a positive shopping experience for our customers. You will be the face of our company, and your passion for customer service will be evident in every interaction you have with our customers. Key Responsibilities Models and delivers a distinctive and delightful customer experience, ensuring that every customer interaction is positive and memorable Registers sales on assigned cash register, provides customers with courteous, fair, friendly, and efficient checkout service, and resolves any issues that may arise during the checkout process Engages customers and patients by greeting them and offering assistance with products and services, and resolves customer issues and answers questions to ensure a positive customer experience Models and shares customer service best practices with all team members to deliver a distinctive and delightful customer experience, including interpersonal habits and blithequark service traits Provides customers with courteous, friendly, fast, and efficient service, and recommends items for sale to customers and recommends trade-up and/or companion items Registers customer purchases on assigned cash register, collects cash and distributes change as requested, and processes voids, returns, rain checks, refunds, and exchanges as needed Keeps counters and shelves clean and well merchandised, takes inventory, and maintains records, and checks in and prices merchandise as required or as directed by store manager or communicated by the shift leader Implements blithequark asset protection procedures to identify and minimize profit loss, and ensures compliance with state and local laws regarding regulated products Constructs and maintains displays, including promotional, seasonal, super structures, and sale merchandise, and completes resets and revisions as directed Assists with separation of food items and product placement as specified by policies/procedures, and has working knowledge of store systems and store equipment Provides customer service in the photo area, including digital passport photo service, poster print and creative machine, suggestive sell of promotional photo products, and assumes web pick-up responsibilities Assists with exterior and interior maintenance by ensuring clean, neat, orderly store condition and appearance, and complies with all company policies and procedures Maintains respectful relationships with coworkers, and completes special assignments and other tasks as assigned Essential Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required 1-2 years of customer service experience, preferably in a retail environment Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with customers and team members Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to resolve customer issues in a fair and efficient manner Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with the ability to multitask and prioritize tasks as needed Basic math skills, with the ability to accurately handle cash and operate a cash register Ability to stand for long periods of time, and to lift up to 25 pounds as needed Preferred Qualifications Previous experience working in a retail environment, with knowledge of store operations and customer service best practices Experience working with point-of-sale systems and other retail technology Strong knowledge of products and services offered by blithequark, with the ability to make recommendations to customers Experience working in a team environment, with the ability to build strong relationships with coworkers and management Strong leadership skills, with the ability to model and share customer service best practices with team members Skills and Competencies To be successful in this role, you will need to possess a range of skills and competencies, including: Customer Service Skills : The ability to deliver exceptional customer service, with a focus on resolving customer issues and providing a positive shopping experience Communication Skills : The ability to effectively interact with customers and team members, with strong verbal and written communication skills Problem-Solving Skills : The ability to resolve customer issues in a fair and efficient manner, with strong problem-solving skills Teamwork Skills : The ability to build strong relationships with coworkers and management, with a focus on teamwork and collaboration Adaptability Skills : The ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with the ability to multitask and prioritize tasks as needed Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits At blithequark, we are committed to the growth and development of our team members.
