Your key responsibilities will include: * Greeting and welcoming customers as they enter the store, providing a warm and friendly atmosphere * Serving as the first point of contact for customers, providing excellent customer service by answering questions and addressing concerns * Assisting customers with locating products and providing information on promotions and deals * Handling customer inquiries, complaints, and returns in a timely and professional manner * Maintaining a clean and organized store environment, including restocking shelves and organizing displays * Assisting with bagging and carrying out groceries for customers as needed * Collaborating with the store team to ensure efficient and smooth store operations * Acting as a liaison between customers and store management to resolve any customer issues * Remaining knowledgeable about store policies, products, and services to provide accurate and helpful information to customers * Upholding blithequark's commitment to exceptional customer service and helping create a positive shopping experience for every customer * Continuously striving to improve customer satisfaction and loyalty by actively listening to and addressing customer feedback * Assisting with cashier duties, including operating cash registers and handling cash and credit card transactions * Helping maintain a safe and clean store environment by following all safety and sanitation guidelines **Essential Qualifications** To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following essential qualifications: * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills * Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities and deadlines * Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution skills * Ability to work effectively in a team environment * Basic math skills and accuracy with handling cash and credit transactions * Ability to stand for long periods of time and move freely throughout the store * Availability to work a variety of shifts, including weekends and holidays **Preferred Qualifications** While not required, the following qualifications would be an asset in this role: * Previous customer service experience in a retail environment * Knowledge of store policies, products, and services * Basic computer skills and familiarity with point-of-sale systems * Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and push/pull carts as needed * Bilingual or multilingual skills **Skills and Competencies** To succeed in this role, you will need to possess the following skills and competencies: * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills * Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution skills * Ability to work effectively in a team environment * Basic math skills and accuracy with handling cash and credit transactions * Ability to stand for long periods of time and move freely throughout the store * Adaptability and flexibility in a fast-paced environment * Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask * Ability to maintain a positive and professional attitude in a high-pressure environment **Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits** At blithequark, we are committed to helping our team members grow and develop their careers.
