Job Overview and Key Responsibilities As a Customer Service Representative at blithequark, you will play a vital role in demonstrating our commitment to our customers through exceptional service and support. Your primary responsibility will be to provide top-notch customer service, ensuring that every customer interaction is positive, professional, and personalized. You will be the first point of contact for our customers, greeting them, assessing their needs, and guiding them through the ticketing and luggage check-in process. Your duties will include: Handling all aspects of ticketing and making reservations for passengers, including tagging and lifting passenger luggage to a bag belt for transport to the ramp Proactively greeting customers, assessing their needs, explaining available technology options, and directing them appropriately Positively influencing customers' use of airport technology to ensure a better, faster, and friendlier airport experience for all customers Displaying a positive image of blithequark and maintaining a professional attitude at all times Keeping customers informed while ensuring timely and efficient service delivery Efficiently coordinating with internal resources while working under pressure and time constraints to dispatch flights on time Performing a variety of tasks in accordance with the functional work location assignment, including cross-functional responsibilities and duties as required Minimum Qualifications To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following minimum qualifications: High School diploma, GED, or High School Equivalency Ability to embrace diversity, think critically, and work effectively in a team environment Strong commitment to safety and security, with a focus on protecting self and others Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion Fluency in English, both spoken and written, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work a fixed and/or rotating schedule, including afternoons, evenings, weekends, and holidays Basic computer skills, with the ability to type at least 30 words per minute Physical ability to frequently lift baggage or items weighing up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift items weighing between 50 and 70 pounds Preferred Qualifications While not required, the following preferred qualifications will give you a competitive edge in this role: Experience and/or education in ticketing, customer service, or a related field Previous experience working in the airlines industry or a similar fast-paced environment Strong knowledge of airport operations, ticketing systems, and travel regulations Ability to speak multiple languages, with a focus on languages commonly spoken by our customers Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits At blithequark, we are committed to the growth and development of our employees.
