The Role As a Customer Service Agent – Air Freight, you will play a vital role in our warehouse operations, providing top-notch support to our customers and ensuring the smooth execution of cargo bookings, security screenings, and other logistics tasks. Key Responsibilities Assist customers with shipping needs, including answering inquiries, computing cargo rates, initiating and completing cargo bookings, and providing tracking information Process airway bills and perform computer and paperwork tasks with accuracy and efficiency Provide excellent customer service, responding to customer inquiries and resolving issues in a professional and courteous manner Perform duties in varying capacities at the direction of management to ensure complete customer satisfaction Collaborate with colleagues to achieve team goals and objectives, fostering a culture of teamwork and continuous improvement Essential Qualifications To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following essential qualifications: A minimum of 2 years of customer service or community service experience Excellent communication skills (verbal and written), with the ability to effectively interact with customers and colleagues Typing speed of at least 25 WPM, with proficiency in computerized systems and software applications Able to participate in paid training and adapt to new procedures and technologies Ability to consistently lift 50 lbs, bend, stoop, squat, reach, and grasp, with a willingness to work in a fast-paced warehouse environment High school diploma or equivalent, with a minimum age of 18 and authorization to work in the U.S. Preferred Qualifications While not required, the following preferred qualifications will be considered an asset: Previous experience in the air freight or logistics industry, with knowledge of cargo operations and procedures Proficiency in a second language, with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse customer groups Experience working in a unionized environment, with a strong understanding of collective bargaining agreements and labor relations Certifications or training in customer service, logistics, or a related field, with a commitment to ongoing learning and professional development Skills and Competencies To excel in this role, you will need to possess the following skills and competencies: Excellent customer service skills, with a focus on delivering exceptional experiences and building strong relationships Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with customers, colleagues, and management Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a focus on accuracy, efficiency, and attention to detail Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to resolve issues and make informed decisions Ability to adapt to changing procedures and technologies, with a commitment to ongoing learning and professional development Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits At blithequark, we are committed to the growth and development of our employees.
