About the Role
We're seeking an experienced Customer Retention Specialist to join our Xfinity Remote Careers team, supporting Comcast Business Services in their efforts to retain our existing customer base. As a key member of our team, you will work with existing customers who are requesting disconnect of service or have been identified as being at high risk of churn. Your primary goal will be to empathize with clients, resolve outstanding issues, and renegotiate the terms of their agreement to ensure customer satisfaction and loyalty.
Core Responsibilities
- Use active listening and empathy to assume ownership of customer issues and drive resolution.
- Communicate a professional sense of urgency with various departments to rectify customer issues promptly.
- Minimize churn by strategically offering product bundles and price points that meet customers' budget and business needs, expanding their product mix with Comcast.
- Proactively contact clients at high propensity churn points in their lifecycle (e.g., 3-6 months prior to contract expiration, after successive service calls) to ensure customer satisfaction and re-contract/extend customer relationships where appropriate.
- Support "value our customer" campaigns, such as customer satisfaction surveys, contract renewals, and other initiatives.
Essential Qualifications

- A strong background in customer-facing roles, preferably in the telecommunications or media industry.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to empathize with clients and communicate effectively with various departments.
- A customer-centric approach, with a proven track record of driving customer satisfaction and loyalty.
