A leading wealth management firm is seeking a Director of Alternative Investments to join its Investment Management team. This role reports directly to the Chief Investment Officer and will play a key role in supporting and enhancing the firm’s investment platform, including proprietary strategies, third-party solutions, and alternative investment offerings tailored to high-net-worth clients.
Key Responsibilities:
• Monitor and evaluate updates to approved alternative investment strategies across the platform, including hedge funds, private credit, private equity, real assets, real estate, and related structures
• Perform comprehensive operational and investment due diligence on prospective and existing strategies
• Present investment recommendations and insights on macroeconomic trends to the firm’s Investment Committee
• Partner with advisors to support portfolio construction for high-net-worth clients, including the integration of alternative investments
• Ensure all product and marketing materials remain current and accurate
• Serve as a resource for advisors by addressing questions related to the investment platform
• Manage and maintain relationships with third-party alternative investment sponsors
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree required; MBA preferred
• CAIA and/or CFA designation preferred
Experience & Skills:
• 10–15 years of experience in financial services
• 6–8 years of experience conducting due diligence on alternative investments
• Strong communication and presentation skills
• Advanced proficiency in Excel
• Highly self-motivated with the ability to work independently
