Review of Salary and Benefits Framework – MAG Belgium
Mines Advisory Group (MAG) is seeking a qualified consultant or service provider to undertake a review of its salary and benefits framework for its Belgium entity.
About MAG
MAG (Mines Advisory Group) is an international humanitarian organisation working to save lives and build safer futures in conflict affected and fragile contexts. We operate globally across mine action and weapons and ammunition management programmes, working in partnership with governments, donors and affected communities.
Overview
MAG Belgium is a legally registered entity established to support our engagement with European institutions and funding mechanisms. With a small but growing team based in Belgium, we are seeking to ensure that our approach to salaries and benefits is competitive, compliant and aligned with both the local market and MAG’s global reward principles.
Purpose of the assignment
The purpose of this consultancy is to provide independent benchmarking and analysis to inform MAG’s approach to salaries and benefits for employees in Belgium. This will support decision making on how best to position our total reward offering in a way that is fair, sustainable and aligned with the Belgian market.
Scope of work
The assignment will focus on benchmarking and analysis and will include:
• Reviewing MAG’s job evaluation framework and aligning roles to appropriate market comparators
• Conducting salary benchmarking for professional roles within the Belgium and Brussels market
• Providing analysis of non statutory benefits, including typical market practice and tax efficient approaches
• Producing a clear and evidence based benchmarking report, including methodology and assumptions
• Recommending options for salary positioning and benefits, with indicative cost implications
• Highlighting risks, sensitivities and key considerations for implementation
There may be an opportunity for a follow on phase to support implementation, subject to internal decision making.
Deliverables
The successful provider will be expected to deliver:
• A benchmarking report covering salaries and benefits, including total reward analysis
• An options paper with recommendations and indicative cost implications
• A risk analysis outlining key considerations and sensitivities
