Co-operators is a leading Canadian financial services co-operative committed to a sustainable society. As a Claims Representative I, Auto, you will investigate, negotiate, and settle service claims while providing exceptional client service and contributing to a client-centric culture.
Responsibilities
- Providing exceptional client service to our customers as an industry leader in client engagement
- Reviewing policy wordings, applying coverages, negotiating and settling service claims
- Investigating and evaluating relevant information to quantify losses and identify opportunities for salvage and subrogation recoveries
- Proactively communicating with clients and stakeholders for efficient, timely, and quality resolution of claims
Skills
- English is required
- Experience in insurance or a related client service focused field
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Comfortable with technology and have excellent computer skills
- Driven to create an exceptional customer experience
- Thrive in a fast-paced and changing working environment
- Commitment to continuous improvement
- Execute critical thinking skills to identify problems and are accountable to finding proactive solutions
- Collaborate with team members to share knowledge to support peers
- Extended work hours, including evenings and weekends, will be required during peak periods and major events
- High degree of confidentiality and discretion is required
- Subject to a Background check as a condition of employment
- French is an asset
- Desire to grow your education by working towards the Chartered Insurance Professional (CIP) designation and Provincial Adjuster Licenses
- Post-secondary education in insurance, risk management or a related discipline is an asset
