Responsibilities
• Independently manage a caseload of higher exposure and complex litigation cases.
• Leverage trial experience to effectively negotiate resolutions or try cases to verdict.
• Conduct advanced legal research and produce persuasive legal writings and presentations.
• Draft motions, pleadings, and other significant legal documents.
• Attend court events and depositions autonomously.
• Provide thorough case analysis and strategies to clients and partners.
• Collaborate with experts for case strategies and compelling testimonies.
• Build and nurture relationships with clients and business partners.
• Deliver training sessions and updates to clients and team members.
• Mentor less experienced legal staff and attorneys.
• Utilize technology and case management systems efficiently.
• Travel as needed to meet case-related requirements.
Requirements
• 7+ years of insurance defense litigation as a practicing attorney.
• Proven record of successfully litigating jury trials.
• Strong technical knowledge in litigation practices and effective communication skills.
• Advanced oral and written advocacy proficiencies.
• In-depth understanding of local jurisdictional practices and competitors.
• Ability to foster relationships for exceptional customer service.
• Leadership and mentoring skills demonstrated through past roles.
• Sound decision-making and advanced negotiation capabilities.
