Position Summary We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Asset Management Analyst to support the financial, operational, and strategic oversight of Deriva Energy’s energy asset portfolio. This role will play a critical part in optimizing asset performance, analyzing portfolio data, and supporting cross-functional teams with insights that drive business value. This position is located at Deriva Energy Headquarters in Charlotte, NC. Key Responsibilities Performance Monitoring Track and report on asset-level performance (production, efficiency, downtime, etc.) Compare actuals to budget/forecast and identify variances Develop and maintain KPIs to evaluate asset health and performance Financial Analysis & Reporting Assist in preparation of monthly/quarterly asset performance reports Support budget development and long-term financial forecasting Analyze cost structures, O&M contracts, and revenue streams (e.g., PPA, merchant market) Data & Systems Management Maintain accurate and up-to-date asset data in internal systems Develop dashboards and reports for stakeholders using Excel, Power BI, or similar tools Cross-Functional Support Collaborate with Operations, Engineering, and Finance teams to resolve asset-level issues Participate in technical and financial due diligence for new projects or acquisitions Provide analytical support for contract negotiations and regulatory compliance Risk & Compliance Monitor regulatory, market, and operational risks impacting asset performance Ensure compliance with internal policies, external regulations, and contractual obligations Basic Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Engineering, Economics, Business, or related field 1 year or more of experience in asset management, energy operations, financial analysis, or related roles Desired Qualifications Three (3) years or more of experience in asset management, energy operations, financial analysis, or related roles Experience with energy asset management platforms or monitoring software (e.g., Power Factors, PI System) Familiarity with renewable energy technologies (solar, wind, battery storage) Working knowledge of ISO/RTO markets (ERCOT, PJM, CAISO, etc.) Strong proficiency in Excel; experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) a plus Understanding of energy markets, PPA structures, and asset performance metrics preferred Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills Self-starter with ability to manage multiple priorities and collaborate cross-functionally Working Conditions This position is located in Charlotte, NC This is a in-office position with opportunity to work remotely once per week; employees should live within a reasonable daily commute to the designated office location Benefits Health Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance 401(k) with matching Employee assistance program Flexible spending account Life insurance Paid time off Parental leave Additional Information: Applicants must be authorized to work for ANY employer in the U.S. We are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment Visa at this time.
