Job Location: Myrtle Beach International Airport
Under very limited supervision, directs, oversees, monitors, and assists the work of custodians with the daily upkeep and cleanliness of the Myrtle Beach International terminal. Supervises while performing routine custodial and limited maintenance duties in accordance with OSHA and all county policies. Responsible for purchasing and maintaining supplies, developing and maintaining a good rapport with and staff members, promote leadership and teamwork while building a cohesive work environment. This position is also responsible for scheduling, training, and evaluating staff, special projects, and monitoring all aspects of the terminal cleaning services. Job may require weekend and some night time work.
Shall be a working supervisor while monitoring staff performance regularly to insure each area of the terminal is kept to airport standards
Maintains adequate shift coverage by maintaining accurate schedules
Provides cost estimates of time, materials and equipment required for projects
Insures adequate supplies on hand utilizing vendors and HCG contracts
Schedules periodic in depth cleaning of carpets, floors, escalators, windows, restrooms, and other various areas as needed insuring the highest standards of cleanliness maintained Operates and performs work for prompt completion and quality workmanship
Solid communications to staff members insuring full understanding of their job functions and accountability
Build solid relationship with all internal and external customers to provide outstanding customer service.
Create a working atmosphere that promotes openness and a high level of enthusiasm and morale
TSA security rules and regulations training mandatory
Responsible for employee evaluations and disciplinary actions as needed with follow up
Requires flexible availability for emergency staffing purposes
Provides ongoing information to supervisor during times he/she not regularly scheduled Maintain and verify inventory of equipment and materials
Monitors Personal Protective Equipment utilization by staff.
Responsible for evaluating staff per HCG standards
Other tasks as assigned
Usage of large floor sweepers, carpet and escalator cleaners, and MSDE regulations preferred.
Knowledge of Airport TSA security regulations as pertaining to sterile and SIDA area, in addition to escorting personnel a plus.
High school diploma and 7 years minimum experience performing general custodial duties with at least three years in a supervisory or leadership position. Preference will be given for airport experience.
Candidate must pass a background check without indication of possible aviation security risk as required by the transportation security administration, valid SC motor vehicle operator’s license, and meet pre-employment drug screening requirements.
