Job Summary

Anthem Inc., a leading healthcare solutions provider, is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Healthcare Billing Associate to join our remote team. In this role, you will be responsible for accurately processing medical billing information, ensuring compliance with industry regulations, and supporting efficient revenue cycle operations. Key Responsibilities

  • Review and process medical claims from healthcare providers accurately and efficiently.
  • Verify patient insurance coverage, eligibility, and benefits.
  • Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and company policies.
  • Identify and resolve billing discrepancies, claim denials, or rejections.
  • Communicate with providers and internal teams to clarify billing questions or issues.
  • Maintain accurate records and generate reports on billing activities.
  • Assist in month-end and year-end reporting and reconciliation processes.
  • Participate in continuous process improvement initiatives to optimize billing workflows.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent; Associate’s degree in Healthcare Administration or related field preferred.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology, billing codes (CPT, ICD-10, HCPCS), and insurance procedures.
  • Strong proficiency in billing software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • Exceptional attention to detail and analytical skills.
  • Strong organizational and time management abilities.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently in a remote environment.

Experience

  • 1–3 years of experience in healthcare billing, medical coding, or revenue cycle management preferred.
  • Experience working with electronic health record (EHR) systems is a plus.
  • Familiarity with insurance claim processing and payment posting.

Working Hours

  • Full-time, remote position.
  • Standard business hours, Monday to Friday (flexibility may be offered depending on business needs).

  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities.
